Drapery falling from a recessed ceiling track with no visible hardware

Application

Recessed drapery track for a trimless curtain

A recessed drapery track hides the curtain hardware in the ceiling, so the drapery appears to fall from a clean slot with no visible track, valance, or fascia.

The challenge

What makes this condition hard

Drapery is the feature; the track is not. A surface-mounted track or a valance breaks the ceiling line and competes with the fabric, and curved runs are especially hard to conceal cleanly.

The track also has to be the one the project already specified, from the major drapery and motorization brands, not a proprietary substitute.

The approach

How concealment solves it

TrackTrim is a recessed housing that takes the drapery track up into a ceiling slot. The curtain reads as a clean fall of fabric, and the hardware disappears.

It supports straight and curved runs, with a curve radius from R250 to R508, and houses track from the major brands so you keep the system you spec.

What to provide

  • Provide the track brand and whether the run is straight or curved
  • For curved runs, give the radius (R250 to R508)
  • Detail the ceiling slot rough-in at framing
  • Coordinate the motor so the housing suits the drive
