Concealed shades for skylights and sloped glazing
Skylights, gables, and sloped glazing are exactly where standard concealment gives up. The glass is angled, the shade tracks with it, and the housing has to tuck into a ceiling that is not flat or square.
The challenge
What makes this condition hard
A standard pocket assumes a vertical window and a flat ceiling. A skylight has neither. The shade runs on side tracks or tension, the geometry is angled, and an off-the-shelf box will not fit the opening.
These are the conditions integrators and designers most often think cannot be concealed, so the shade ends up surface mounted with visible hardware.

How concealment solves it
The C Series is made to order for exactly this. The enclosure is built to the size and angle of the opening, the shade tracks with the glass, and the housing tucks into the ceiling so the skylight reads as architecture.
Because it is custom, the same approach covers gable ends, sloped walls, and other angled glazing, not just flat skylights.
What to provide
- Provide the glazing angle and the opening dimensions
- Confirm side-track or tensioned operation for the slope
- Coordinate the rough-in at framing, while the angled ceiling is still open
- Send the shade and motor so the custom enclosure suits the system
